Kutralam, the Spa of South India, is a panchayat town situated at a mean elevation of 160 m (520 ft) on the Western Ghats in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu, India. The numerous waterfalls and cascades along with the ubiquitous health resorts in the area have earned it the title the Spa of South India. The falls carry a good amount of water only when there is a rain on the hills.
The season begins from June of every year till September. The South West Monsoon brings in the cold breeze with mild temperature. From October to December North East Monsoon sets over in Tamil Nadu and the climate is cold and the rains are very heavy sometimes.
June to Septemeber is the main season period. The winds from Western Ghats, drizzling rain, sweet water flow in the falls and the healthy atmosphere makes the Kutralam as Heaven.
From October to mid of January there may be good water flow, but not considered as season, since the winds from west are missing.
For your questions on Season:
We cannot predict the exact time of season and water flow in Kutralam. When there is a rain in the hills, the water flow is good.
So PLEASE DO NOT ASK US...
IS THERE GOOD SEASON ON THAT DAY?
IS THERE WATER FLOW TOMORROW?
SHALL I COME ON THAT DAY?
We don't know the answer for the above questions. We provide all the available updated information on the same in our website & APP. Take a look at our Live Videos & Season Updates, plan accordingly and enjoy Kutralam. We are unable to answer your questions on Season & Water Flow. Sorry.
